After a 25-year career in marketing and communications, Kent felt a strong call into vocational ministry and to complete a Masters degree in seminary. Kent has a deep love for God and His Word and a desire to encourage others in their own spiritual journeys. Everyone has a deeply personal story with its own joys and pain. Kent is always humbled to be able to enter the sacred spaces of people’s stories to meet them where they are and see how their story connects to God’s larger story. Over the past several years, God has been encouraging him to focus on the simple but powerful words of Psalm 46:10: Be still and know that I am God.
Kent was born and raised in Edmonton, and he and his wife Michelle are the proud parents of Emily and Connor, two awesome young adults, as well as a lovely beagle named Sydney. The Dixon family love the mountains, are HUGE Disney and Marvel fans and love spending time with family and friends. Kent is also a lifelong fan of the Edmonton Oilers and can often be heard talking hockey during the regular season.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
And, now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you, but to fear the LORD your God by walking in all HIS ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
